What is Noulek Embed Export
Objective
Understand what Noulek Embed Export does, when to use it, and what you need before configuring an embed on an external site.
What Embed Export does
Embed Export lets visitors on an external website (not your WordPress admin) chat with an assistant powered by the Knowledge Base on this WordPress site.
Typical uses:
- A customer portal or intranet on another domain.
- A Moodle or LMS landing page.
- A marketing site that should answer questions from your indexed documentation.
The external page loads a small Noulek script. Answers come from content indexed on the WordPress site where you configure the embed.
How the pieces fit together
| Piece | Role |
|---|---|
| This WordPress site | Hosts Knowledge Base, LLM/Vector DB settings, and Embed Export configuration. |
| Embed configuration | Defines assistant name, welcome message, colors, and the one authorized external domain. |
| External website | Pastes the install snippet on a page served from that authorized domain. |
Embed Export is not the same as Noulek Search or Chat shortcodes on your WordPress front end. Those run on this site; Embed runs on a different site you authorize.
Plan availability
Embed Export is available on Pro and Enterprise plans with an active Noulek license on this WordPress site.
Free plans see an Upgrade required message on the Embed Export screen instead of configuration fields.
Each licensed WordPress site can have one embed configuration (one authorized external domain per site).
Prerequisites
Before visitors get useful answers from an embed:
- Noulek is active on this site (Check license status).
- LLM and Vector DB are configured (Configure LLM and Vector DB).
- Knowledge Base documents are uploaded and reach Ready status (Upload a document).
Where to configure Embed
In the WordPress dashboard, open Noulek AI → Embed Export.
Expected result
You know whether Embed Export fits your use case, which plan is required, and that configuration happens in WordPress while the widget runs on a separate authorized domain.
Next step: Configure an Embed.
