Embed widget does not load or appear
Problem
The embed script does not load, the widget never appears on the external page, or the admin shows embed as unavailable.
What it means
The external embed depends on: an active embed configuration, a valid public embed ID in the snippet, an authorized domain, and a plan that includes Embed Export (Pro or Enterprise with active license).
This article covers load and configuration issues. For unauthorized domain errors when the widget loads but rejects the page origin, see Fix unauthorized domain errors.
Checks to perform
- Plan and license — Embed Export requires Pro or Enterprise with an active license. Free plan does not include embed.
- Embed status — In Noulek AI → Embed Export, confirm embed is Active (not inactive or revoked).
- Snippet — The external page must include the script with
data-embed-idset to your public embed ID (emb_pub_…). - Script URL — Use the embed script URL shown in the Noulek admin (CDN or staging URL from your environment).
- Browser console — Check for 404 on the script, CORS errors, or blocked mixed content (HTTP page loading HTTPS script).
- Verify in admin — Use Verify installation in Embed Export after saving domain and snippet.
How to resolve
| Finding | Action |
|---|---|
| Feature unavailable / plan message | Upgrade to Pro or Enterprise and validate license |
| Embed inactive | Activate embed and save in Embed Export |
Missing or wrong data-embed-id |
Copy snippet again from admin |
| Script not found | Confirm script URL and network access to CDN |
| Domain mismatch (unauthorized) | See fix unauthorized domain |
Expected result
On the authorized external domain, the embed script loads and the widget shell appears. Conversation requires backend runtime to be reachable (separate from snippet load).
