Getting started with Noulek
What Noulek does
Noulek is a WordPress plugin that connects your site content to AI-powered Search and Chat. You upload documents to Knowledge Base, Noulek indexes them, and visitors can search or ask questions grounded in that content.
Where Noulek appears in WordPress
After installation, the main menu entry is Noulek AI in the WordPress dashboard sidebar. Typical sections:
| Menu item | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | Site overview, license status, and quick links |
| Knowledge Base | Upload, manage, and monitor indexed documents |
| Search & Chat | Configure and preview search and chat widgets |
| Settings | License, LLM provider, Vector DB, and other options |
Noulek also provides shortcodes and blocks to embed Search and Chat on the public site.
Recommended first steps
- Activate your license — In Settings → License, use Start with Free or Connect existing license so Noulek can validate your plan.
- Configure AI providers — In Settings, set up your LLM and Vector DB connections. Search and Chat need both before they can return useful answers.
- Upload a document — Open Knowledge Base → Upload documents, add a file, and wait until status is Ready.
- Try Search or Chat — Open Search & Chat in the admin or place a widget on a page to verify answers use your indexed content.
What to expect
Noulek does not replace WordPress posts and pages automatically. Content you want in Search and Chat must be uploaded or ingested into Knowledge Base (or connected via supported integrations where available).
Processing time depends on file size and type. Large PDFs may take longer; track progress in Job detail and Documents list.
